It is also evident in the on-demand replay that is available n the SBS website - at about 1 hr 17 minutes. Did anyone else notice this? Did the horn player get spittle on his lips and muff the entry? A piece of vandalsim, anyway, to cut 2 bars form the recording.Jackhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08672851183100981019noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-416983732847060845.post-47669823302145852712011-08-28T11:55:21.467+01:002011-08-28T11:55:21.467+01:00Wow ! In fact, I was about to watch a football match! - but by chance when I switched on the TV, SBS was selected, the performance had just started. I rapidly forgot about the football. Heart-stopping. I've never heard a performance of the 9tth as moving as this. Will the Festival issue a DVD of this concert?Jackhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08672851183100981019noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-416983732847060845.post-81237040701832810262010-09-01T10:12:57.351+01:002010-09-01T10:12:57.351+01:00The concert will be broadcast on arte in Germany (...The concert will be broadcast on arte in Germany (in France as well?) on Sept. 19 at 7:15 pm.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05740479766790052541noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-416983732847060845.post-59831881630102555452010-08-25T00:10:24.382+01:002010-08-25T00:10:24.382+01:00I don't know. Jim N above says it will be VOD in September, There is a DVD of a performance several years ago, but this is very special.Doundou Tchilhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07469682216179706743noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-416983732847060845.post-15920302417741979372010-08-24T23:20:08.157+01:002010-08-24T23:20:08.157+01:00I've heard the Mahler broadcast will be repeat...I've heard the Mahler broadcast will be repeated Friday. When it was over I thought he concert was heart-stopping and the remembered that the opening/recurring rhymthic motif is said by Mahler to represent his heart beat in slow motion, that's rather apt.

According to the LF website in mid-September Arte will have it on demand, at least I hope that's what it means. Medici.tv currently has all the other Abbado/Lucerne/Mahler concerts there as well.Jim Nhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15365146914115121223noreply@blogger.com
