In 1908, recording technology was limited. Hardly any western opera recordings (though hear Carmen from 1905 HERE) Yet in China someone was recording Beijing opera. Don't know which performer is which but these are the names given, Xu Yin Tang 許蔭棠 and Lu Yanting.+ 陸硯亭 , The song, 趕三關 is about a drinking party in Song times. 1908 Beijing opera recording
In 1908, recording technology was limited. Hardly any western opera recordings (though hear Carmen from 1905 HERE) Yet in China someone was recording Beijing opera.
